Queensland Thundercat Surf Cross Finals


The adrenalin-seeking Thundercat crews return to the sunny coast for the final round of their state Surf Cross Series! Guided by their thrill-seeking Thundercat Pilots and Co-pilots, these boats can reach speeds of up to 90 kilometres per hour and jump up to six metres in the air - making it an exciting, family-friendly spectator sport. 

The final round of the Queensland Thundercat Surf Cross Series will be decided across two days - November 21 to 22 - with racing on Alex Beach (just north of the Surf Club) from 9am to 2pm each day. So why not head down to Alex Surf Club for a bird's eye view of all the exhilarating action as Queensland's top Thundercat crews battle it out in the surf for the ultimate championship crown!

Kawana Aquathon


The inaugural Kawana Aquathon will be held at Lake Kawana on the Sunshine Coast on Saturday 14 November 2015! This incorporates the Triathlon Queensland State Aquathlon Championships and Triathlon Australia National Selection Event for the World Championships. On offer is the full distance (run/swim/run), the Enticer (swim/run), Junior event (swim/run) and Mini Aquathon (Swim/Run).

Beach Bash Maroochydore


Beach Bash is the sandiest obstacle challenge in Australia with the aim to promote health, fitness and above all fun. Beach Bash brings an entirely new challenge and experience to Obstacle Racing, with a sandy terrain and a range of unique obstacles. Race against your mates or get the whole family involved for a fun day out. 

With two different obstacle challenges targeting different audiences - this event is not to be missed! Beach Bash (10 years to adult) has over 20 obstacles and is around four kilometres. Junior Bash (5 to 10 years) has five to eight obstacles and is around one to two kilometres.

Take on the iconic sandy beaches of the famous Sunshine Coast when Beach Bash comes to Maroochydore Beach on 8th November.
