Woodford Folk Festival 2011

The 67th biggest town in Australia is being built outside Woodford for the six-day feast of entertainment, art and ideas that is the Woodford Folk Festival (December 27 to January 1).
The musical line-up is headed by Gotye and his 10-piece band, Xavier Rudd, Peggy Seeger, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Husky, Cloud Control, Renee Geyer, My Friend the Chocolate Cake, Eagle and The Worm and The Herd.
This year's program also features The Dreaming Festival, and combined they have total of 400 acts performing at 20 venues (most of which are covered).

Those stages are set in a tent village consisting of streets lined with around 100 stalls selling clothes, jewellery and other merchandise, and 46 cafes, restaurants and bars.
The festival offers a sophisticated mix of musical styles ranging from traditional folk to contemporary singer-songwriters, rock, blues, and just about everything in-between.
There will also be dance, street theatre, writers' panels, a film festival, talks and debates, art and craft workshops and a children's festival.
Activities start about 9am and continue until after midnight.
