Swim Queensland is both a new event and concept and will launch World Series Swims on Saturday October 24, 2015. Every year, the event will travel to a different Queensland beach to offer a fresh, new challenge. 

In 2015, Swim Queensland will be held at Mooloolaba, one of the Sunshine Coast's most popular beaches. For some, open water swimming can be a daunting concept. So, they've designed a safe, achievable course with a range of distances - it's as close to a pool lane as you'll get in the ocean. They'll have events for every ability, from kids and beginners through to competitive swimmers and triathletes in training.

Flipside Circus

The fabulous Flipside Circus artists return to Lake Kawan Community Centre with their all new show, the spectacular school holiday treat, Stories from the Sky.

Enjoy a whimsical tale of memory, dreams and friendship. Through breathtaking aerials, and extraordinary juggling, Flipside Circus reveal their most beautiful and captivating stories so far.

Stories from the Sky will delight children of all ages and parents with a performance in which the imaginary becomes reality, flying is perfectly possible and dreams really do come true.

Stay after the show for half an hour of circus play with the performers and try out the spinning sticks, hula hoops and even some juggling.

Ironman 70.3 Sunshine Coast

IRONMAN 70.3 showcases all the aspects of Sunshine Coast's striking coast. Competitors will take in the best that Sunshine Coast has to offer, starting with a swim off the surf beach followed by a flat and fast bike course. The run will tie up the day's exciting events with a two lap course around Mooloolaba's Esplanade lined with spectators.

King of Concrete

The Queensland Bowlriding Championships will be held on September 12 at Coolum Beach Skate Park. The King of Concrete is open to non Queenslanders who will battle for the AUD10,000 in cash and prizes. 

Confirmed riders include New Zealand Champion Bowman Hanson, Australians Lachie Bouillir, Luke Russell, Zac Callihan and Poppy Ollson, who will battle Queenslanders such as Jesse Noonan, Izy Mutu, Jake Edwards, Chistian Phillips and Matt Chigwidden. It is expected that there will be approximately 80 entrants.

Maroochy Music and Visual Arts Festival

This wicked boutique festival is coming to the stunning Horton Park Golf Course on the Sunshine Coast this August 22, 2015! This one-day festival will bring culinary delights, specially curated art stalls and many more surprises to come.

Punters can expect to rub shoulders with music heavyweights and be immersed in an open-air visual art gallery that will leave them in awe. Maroochy Music and Visual Arts Festival 2015 promises to give festival-goers from around Australia something to brag about.
