Ginger Flower & Food Festival 2016

Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, the Ginger Flower & Food Festival is set to mark this milestone occasion with an exciting line up of local kitchen masters and gardening experts.

As one of Australia’s premier annual events, the Ginger Flower & Food Festival has stood the test of time on the Sunshine Coast, with guests returning year on year for this spectacular event.

With a promise to delight the senses, this year’s free event will welcome guests to The Ginger Factory, for three glorious days (22 - 24 January) of fabulous flowers, delicious food and entertainment for all.

Set to be the biggest yet, this 20th annual event will host live cooking demonstrations and garden talks that explore the processes of planting, growing, harvesting and cooking with gingers.

Visitors will be treated to a visual feast of vibrant colour with a three metre high central floral display. The most exquisite range of ornamental Gingers and Heliconias will be for sale throughout the festival, with plant varieties suited to all garden sizes available. Exploration into The Ginger Factory gardens will bring visitors face to face with stunning natural delights that flourish in our subtropical climate.

An event to be enjoyed by the whole family, The Ginger Flower and Food Festival is an incredible celebration of all that is local to Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
